| Biography |
Over the past 20 years, Elizabeth Blakemore has earned a reputation as the top fundraiser in Texas' top market, Houston, and one of the most sought after Republican fundraisers statewide because she repeatedly ensures her clients have the resources they need to succeed. Today, she leverages her broad range of political experience to deliver unmatched results for leading candidates at every level, as well as the largest and most respected political actions committees, think tanks, and foundations across Texas.
Throughout her diverse career – from Capitol Hill to Austin, from lobbying to fundraising – Elizabeth has consistently demonstrated a rare level of effectiveness. Early on, when U.S. Rep. Joe Barton first ran for re-election in 1986, Elizabeth helped him raise more money than any other congressional freshmen that year. Two years before, as deputy director of the Texas GOP, she helped direct the celebrated “Texas Six Pack” to victory, electing six freshmen Republicans together and launching a statewide GOP surge that continues to this day.

When national Republicans come to Houston – as John Thune did during his 2004 South Dakota Senate race to defeat Minority Leader Tom Daschle – they regularly turn to Elizabeth Blakemore to raise needed funds. Leading PACs and organizations such as Texans for Lawsuit Reform and the Texas Public Policy Foundation similarly tap into Elizabeth’s proven track record for generating the resources they need to get their message out and enhance operations.
Of course, it is primarily in helping to elect Republicans to local and statewide office – as well as the Texas judiciary – that Elizabeth continues to distinguish herself from her peers. Recent clients include Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, Attorney General Greg Abbott, Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams, State Senator Kyle Janek, and Representative Joe Nixon. Elizabeth also assists numerous State District Court Judges, Justices on the First and Fourteenth Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court Justice Dale Wainwright.
At the local level, Harris County leaders like County Judge Robert Eckels, District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal, County Attorney Michael Stafford and Tax Assessor-Collector Paul Bettencourt trust Elizabeth for their fundraising needs, as do Houston City Council members Michael Berry, Mark Ellis, Mark Goldberg and Toni Lawrence.
Given the depth and breadth of her experience, Elizabeth remains a widely sought after lecturer on the political circuit – helping to train the next generation of camapign operatives.
Besides being active in politics, Elizabeth serves as on the Associate Vestry of Saint John the Divine Episcopal Church and heads up their Angel Tree Project, serves as a committee co-chair for the Theta Charity Antiques Show and is a member of the Junior League.
A native Houstonian and life long Republican, Elizabeth graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Business Management. Elizabeth, Allen, and their daughters, Charlotte and Sarah, live in West University Place.
